About Me

I am Dietitian Gomathy Gowthaman. I completed M.Sc in dietetics and nutrition from Madras University in 1989. Ever since then, I have been consulting with people for all sorts of weight management issues.

Many people come to me after struggling a lot with their weight, having tried out everything they have heard of from websites or books. Unfortunately, their information is in bits and pieces and it doesn’t give them any benefit.

It gives me immense pleasure to put people on the right track when it comes to food and lifestyle and to see them attain their goals. For many of them, it is an unbelievable achievement and their happiness knows no bounds. By now, I have consulted and helped thousands of people realise their life goal.

My Unique Methodology

My Approach

I treat each person differently. I take time to listen to their health problems and weight management problems. Body measurements are taken to understand current state of health and arrive at the desired state of health. I also observe and understand each persons cultural affinities and hence their food preferences. 

My Process

You will be given a specific diet recommendation to follow for a certain number of days. At the end of each period, I will review your progress and check that you are on track to achieving your weight loss goal. Diet roation will be done to prevent boredom, which also ensures your motivation to continue the diet program.

Weight management does not end  on reaching the target goal. You must know how to maintain it for the rest of your life. You must never go back to the previous weight struggle that you came from initially.
